G'day! Welcome to The Tasmanian Booze Directory. This site is designed to be a simple guide / directory to help track and inform those interested in Tasmania's alcohol industry through providing website addresses, contact details, important information and other useful notes. 

The goal is to present this information on every single alcohol producer in Tasmania in a simple way. I couldn't find such an available repository of information elsewhere, and since Tasmanians create the best beers, wines and spirits in the world, it's worth seeking them all out. Currently, there are over 20 breweries, 70 distilleries, 160 wine producers in Tasmania. Hopefully, that number increases!

Check out the about page for planned updates, site info and fun facts. The Terms of Use page details, well, the terms of use. If you see any mistakes, inaccurate information, missing producers, outdated sources etc., Please email me at ratscastl3@gmail.com with the details. You may notice some websites do not currently have links, as inclusion would violate their terms of use (I will be contacting these sites for approval). If any manufacturers are reading this, I would also love to include a photo for your entry. Cheers!

Gathering all the information on close to three hundred producers is quite time consuming. Furthermore, learning how to create a website is challenging. This site will always be a work in progress. Right now, it is very much in its infancy. 

The big boxes I'd like to tick for now are

• Finish off the Spirits page (90% there)

• Create directories on the beer page, then the wine page

• Work on the site layout, buttons and general accessibility 

• Create some kind of filter system i.e. be able to just search for whisky distilleries, or just microbreweries in a particular region.

Putting the information down is the easy part, so I'll be starting with that before working on web design. That being said, I'm hoping to find someone who can help with that aspect, since I really don't know what I am doing!
